JS launch Condair high pressure humidifier

JS Humidifiers is launching the Condair HP, a new in-duct high pressure spray humidifier. It can deliver up to 1,300kg/hr of humidification and a potential 884kW of evaporative cooling from just 2.2kW/h of electricity. A high pressure pump provides water at around 70bar to a series of spray nozzles located on a stainless steel manifold inside an air handling unit. The nozzles release the water as a very fine mist that is quickly absorbed into the airstream. Any water that isn’t fully evaporated is removed from the air by a droplet separator guaranteeing droplet-free humidification. As the spray nozzles are located uniformly across the duct, the humidity is spread evenly for optimum humidification with minimal waste water. Seven stage operation on the standard model offers humidity control of ±4%RH while a close control option has 15-stage control and provides ±2%RH. The Condair HP can deliver

humidification in up to four AHUs from a single pump station with local control on each zone. This makes the humidifier an economic option for AHUs that incorporate humidification of incoming fresh air

as well as an evaporative cooling/heat recovery combination on the exhaust air. The Condair HP pump station features

a water-lubricated, oil-free stainless steel pump with an 8,000 hour guarantee, driven by a low energy Grundfos motor. The pump station also features optional integrated reverse osmosis water treatment plant making it ideal for areas without an existing RO water supply. The humidifier operates on RO water so that minerals are not introduced into the AHU. The Condair HP hygiene management system incorporates regular flush cycles

to ensure water cannot remain in the pipelines to stagnate. Optional ultra violet sterlisation will kill microorganisms in the water supply. All sections of the water system are manufactured in strict accordance with the HACCP/ISO 22000 Hygiene Management System. JS Humidifiers is the UK’s largest humidification company offering a comprehensive service of advice, design, supply, installation and maintenance. The company is part of Condair, the World’s largest humidifier manufacturing organization. Tel: 01903 850200 www.jshumidifiers.com

New asset management tags system from Spectrum

Spectrum Industrial has launched a new AssetTag system of holders and inserts for recording inspection and safety data on safety critical equipment, while also providing visually impactive warning information for potential users. There are five different holders in the range which means it has fewer SKUs and is lower in cost than any comparable product on the market. The holders are the ClawTag for pipe work or scaffold structures, the racking tag, the AssetTag MAX where more information is needed, the AssetTag Multi-Purpose and the AssetTag Mini for use on cables, smaller machinery and fall arrest equipment. All five holders are supplied in packs of five and all carry an integral ‘Do Not Use’ message as the default communication if specific tag inserts are missing. All are made from durable, flexible, weather proof reinforced nylon and all are easy to fix using a choice of rivets, tie wraps, adhesive strips or glue. The ClawTag as the name suggests has its own inbuilt claw fixing meaning it can be retrofitted to scaffold or pipes with no need for dismantling. The AssetTAG Mini can also be fixed using a key ring or split ring. There is a wide selection of polypropylene inserts to cover most commonly found industrial hazards, inspection status or operator information

requirement. Inserts can also be customised by Spectrum to include logos or any other particular specification. All the holders have a ‘break’ in the edge for easy insert removal and replacement. Helping workers and management achieve compliance with legislation such as The Work at Height Regulations, the AssetTag system provides a record of the inspection process as well as an inspection checklist, reducing the risk of liability by

creating a clear audit trail. In the event of a failed inspection, the system warns personnel that equipment is not fit for purpose, avoiding potential accidents. Spectrum Industrial asset management products are available in all good safety distributors. More information can be found in the Spectrum Industrial catalogue or via the website at www.spectrum-industrial.co.uk
