Sikafloor-2 SynTop is a one part, pre-blended, coloured synthetic dry shake hardener for concrete comprising of cement, hard aggregates, compatible admixtures and pigment.

Fast application

In industries where high traffic, severe abrasion, impact and shock are the daily stresses on a flooring system, Sikafloor systems can be efficiently and easily regenerated with minimal downtime and loss of revenue. Extending the service life of an existing flooring system through the resurfacing of a topcoat compatible with the original floor provides a brand new surface and the option of changing the colour. Regenerating a thicker floor is possible with diamond grinding pads which remove any existing surface damage and restore a Sikafloor to the same glossy surface of a new system.

Hospital environments

In a modern healthcare environment, hygiene, safety and cost-effectiveness are key requirements when specifying flooring products, materials and systems. When York Hospital required a new floor for one of its operating theatres, ComfortFloor Pro – a seamless, liquid applied flooring system fitted the bill perfectly. Following the previously successful application of a standard ComfortFloor system to a refurbished infection control room with en-suite shower, Sika was once again specified to replace ageing terrazzo flooring in Operating Theatre 3. Where exceptional cleanliness is an absolute prerequisite, Sika ComfortFloor Pro proved the ideal solution. The seamless flooring surface can be easily cleaned and maintained to provide outstanding long term performance. It also offers exceptional softness under foot and dramatically reduces foot fatigue for hospital staff who are often required to stand for hours at a time. With its fast and simple application, the system was applied with minimal disruption and was simply laid over the

original terrazzo floor. This prevented noise and dust creation, and reduced the overall cost of preparation works and disposal costs. Another great saving of this overlay system was the reduction in down time of this vital hospital facility. Combining stunning aesthetics with high performance, Sika ComfortFloor Pro is clean room approved and conforms to AgBB regulations for VOC emissions. The system also has excellent noise- cancelling properties of 19 dB. With its chemical composition and texture absorbent impact, its excellent acoustic insulation prevents transmission of sound for both footfall and impact.

Busy warehouse traffic

A new distribution centre covering 1,000,000 square feet, equivalent to 14 football pitches, was built in Scotland for one of the world’s largest online retailers. With the floors subjected to footfall and forklift movements 24 hours a day, a proven and hard wearing flooring system was required. Offering market leading durability, the Sikafloor-2 SynTop from Sika was used to complete the comprehensive 80,000m2

flooring application.

The importance of durability in all elements of construction can never be understated. With car parks particularly liable to damage due to constant traffic by vehicle and air borne pollutants and contaminants, this can in turn reduce the carrying capacity and lifespan of the structure. Keeping them in exceptional working condition is paramount to ensuring they are not only safe but also provide a stylish and welcoming environment for users. Sika’s wide portfolio of proven materials for car park refurbishments enables specifiers to find the right product for any application. The company’s integrated car park solutions combine high performance decking systems and decorative finishes with a simple installation that causes minimal disruption to users and the car park owner. There are many causes of structural or aesthetic deterioration, but Sika will identify the product or treatment needed. Whether it’s the correct waterproofing solution, installing the perfect floor or supplying the system to protect concrete against corrosion – Sika has the refurbishment solution that will stand the test of time.
