SLYCE WINS SUCCESSFUL FUNDING
A new point-of-interest purchasing platform, designed to allow smartphone users to discover and buy any product, at anytime and from anywhere, recently closed an oversubscribed seed funding round that raised just over CA$3.75 million (£2.1m).
The Slyce platform uses
advanced visual recognition technology, but will also handle video and audio recognition, as well as quick response (QR) and barcode scanning and near-field communication (NFC).

TINY CCTV CAMERA BROUGHT TO MARKET
Security vendor Avigilon has partnered with UK security systems integrator, Reflex Systems, to resell its smallest high-definition (HD) surveillance camera to customers in the retail sector.

new technology was the First Direct Arena in Leeds where Reflex Systems installed a fully networked camera and access control integrated solution.
