Hall 10/F04 Kistler will be demonstrating the latest version of its CoMo injection moulding process monitoring technology, along with improved sensors for demanding process- ing applications such as optical compo- nents.


The V2.4 upgrade to the COMo system


inlcudes integrated automatic mould recognition to make mould connection and setting easier and faster. The company says the automatic data loading feature means connection errors are detected quickly and can be remedied before causing any damage. The MultiFlow automatic hot-runner balancing function now offers more control options. Smooth Control mode means tip temperatures can be regulated at smaller intervals, which is said to be particularly beneficial when processing resins with a viscosity that is highly temperature dependent. MultiFlow now also offers an automatic start-up function,

diameter longitudinal measuring pin Type 9239A is designed for demanding optical parts or components requiring a very high quality surface. The sensor is intended to


exchangeable cables for its miniature cavity sensors. Introduced at the show on the 1mm front diameter Type 6183C sensor, the option will be added to the 2.5mm diameter 6182C type shortly. The Type 6183C sensor can also be changed to wireless operation by installing it into a retainer plate with the help of a charge- conducting spacer sleeve and a contact element. ❙ www.kistler.com


Improved laser welding options


Hall 11/E04 LPKF Laser and Electonics will show a number of its latest welding systems in Dusseldorf, including its PowerWeld product and new PrecisionWeld system. The PrecisionWeld system has been specially


designed for welding the fine channels required for microfluidic applications. Derived from the company’s MicroLine series, the system utilizes a new process – ClearJoining – that enables transparent plastics to be welded without additives. It also uses a new clamping system that compensates for production tolerances arising from the preceding production stages. Other exhibits include two PowerWeld systems - a


closed version and a model with a rotary table. The company will also show its LPKF InlineWeld 6200 system, which is specifically designed for integration within the customer’s own production line, and a InlineWeld 2000 system configured for radial welding. A TwinWeld3D hybrid welding system for welding large three-dimensional moulded components completes the display. ❙ www.lpkf.com
