The PRIME Awards will celebrate excellence in the field of aesthetic and anti-ageing medicine, and will be awarded to practitioners, physicians, and surgeons only, who excel within their field and are


innovative leaders within the market. The awards aim to focus on the skills, results and professionalism of the physicians. The judging


process will be rigorous to guarantee the very highest standards of medicine and surgery is represented. Unbiased and independent judging will be core to the values of the awards.


How to enter The PRIME Awards are open to any physician who is actively practising in the field of aesthetic and anti- ageing medicine. You can enter yourself for an award or nominate a peer. Base your entry on activities undertaken over the last year only. You may enter more than one category, provided that your entries meet the required criteria. Entries will be anonymised

before submission to the judging panel to avoid any risk of bias. The judging panel will comprise the editorial team of PRIME (chaired by the Managing Editor), plus two specialists in the chosen area from PRIME’s editorial board. The chair of the judging panel reserves the right to cast the deciding vote should the need arise. The judges’ decision is final and neither the organisers nor the panel will enter into any correspondence about the results.

This award will recognise dedication to imparting knowledge and treatment methodologies to peers through presentation at one or many congresses. The judges will be looking for the quality and not necessarily quantity of the presentations given. To enter this category, please answer the following:


★ Your/Nominee’s name, professional title, location, contact details ★ Specify presentation titles over the previous year, and which congresses they contributed to (do not attach any presentations) ★ 750 words on how and why your/the nominee’s presentations contributed to best practice, considering innovation, evidence- based research, ethical issues, quality of the overall presentation, audience reception.


AUTHOR OF THE YEAR


This award will recognise a prolific author whose work has contributed to best practice in aesthetic and anti-ageing medicine, and has greatly impacted on the field. The judges will be looking for quality of the articles contributed, as well as in which Journals they were published. ★ Your/Nominee’s name, professional title, location, contact details ★ Specify article titles over the previous year, Journal name, volume and issue number (do not attach any articles, articles published before 2013 will be discounted) ★ 750 words on how your/the nominee’s articles have contributed to the field and added to the evidence-base. Have they changed peers’ ways of working?

This award will be divided into three categories: facial rejuvenation, body rejuvenation (contouring, lipoplasty, augmentation), and anti- ageing medicine. As professionals, we are always looking for new ways of working in which to maximise patient satisfaction and cost-benefit ratios, and this award will recognise such an achievement. ★ Your/Nominee’s name, professional title, location, contact details ★ Summary of technique/ innovation (e.g. has it been given a specific name?) ★ 750 words describing this innovation. How has it improved your practice? How has it improved patient care? Does it offer a cost saving? Has it been shared with peers, and does it have peer support?


POSTER PRESENTATION OF THE YEAR


This award will recognise dedication to sharing knowledge and research to peers through poster presentations at one or many congresses. ★ Your/Nominee’s name, professional title, location, contact details ★ Specify poster titles over the previous year, and which congresses they contributed to (posters can be attached as supporting evidence) ★ 750 words on how and why your/the nominee’s posters contributed to best practice, considering innovation, evidence- based research, ethical issues, quality, audience reception.


TEACHER/EDUCATOR OF THE YEAR


This award will recognise excellence in training and education of peers through smaller symposia or workshops, as well as bespoke training sessions. ★ Your/Nominee’s name, professional title, location, contact


details ★ Specify training courses or workshops over the previous year ★ 750 words on how and why you/ the nominee has contributed to best practice, with regard to training style, quality of the course and teaching, engagement with audience, and driving of high standards. How has this course and educator been of benefit to the industry?


PHYSICIAN OF THE YEAR


Physician of the Year awards will recognise an outstanding contribution to one of four fields over the previous year: anti-ageing, facial aesthetics, lasers and lights for body contouring, and plastic surgery away from the face. ★ Your/Nominee’s name, professional title, location, contact details ★ 750 words on how and why your/the nominee contributed to the field and his/her peers, and consider performance and commitment to the industry in activities such as innovation, best practice, authorship in Journals, and conference presentations


LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT The winner of this award will be an exceptional individual, with a consistent history of service and dedication to the industry throughout their career. Candidates MUST be nominated by a third- party for this award. In 750 words, the entry should describe what the nominee has accomplished in his/ her career, how that has impacted on the industry, and say why he/ she would be a worthy winner.


Entries will open on 1 December


2013 and close on 30 April 2014. Judging will take place throughout May 2014, with the shortlist announced in June 2014, and the winning entries published in a special awards supplement in July 2014.
