OFFICE ESSENTIALS MOBILE APP tMycourier App
FREE We’re sure most PAs can identify with the time spent trying to book and track deliveries – which is why this particular app is going to save you a lot of time. It puts all of CitySprint’s services in the palm of your hands and makes organising this type of task simple. Signing up to the App is effortless and you can save addresses to your account for regular deliveries or pick ups rather than having to input them each time. You can select when you want the pick up – from as soon as possible to months in advance. You’ll then be met with your pick up options based on the size and weight of what you’re looking to move, and a quote for the job. You can pay using an existing CitySpring account or a credit card as well as view the proof of delivery signatures and audit trail of the delivery. And when you have a particularly important item to move the map feature is brilliant – you can track the courier’s real-time location on a map to update customers when that important package will be with them. STATIONERY uNapkin 4.EVER Perpetual Pencil
£39.95 Hoping to make an impact on your stationery ordering is this pencil – which the manufacturers claim never needs replacing, sharpening or refilling. Sounds too good to be true? Well, not actually. We gave this pencil a pretty good testing over several weeks and as yet haven’t had to sharpen it or noticed it wearing down in any visible way. The secret is the special Ethergraf tip that uses a patented metal alloy which wears down extremely slowly. It’s certainly a striking looking pen and with its flat base you can stand it upright on your desk so it’s always close to hand. The sleek look and aluminium body is a far cry from your usual 2B – and the fact it never wears out makes it a real investment piece. It can be used just like an ordinary pencil the only thing we found is that the marks it makes are not quite as dark as with your usual pencil and it takes a bit more effort to rub it out if you make a mistake. WWW.EXECUTIVEPA.COM STATIONERY uKokuyo’s Staple Free Stapler
£12.95 (large) We couldn’t wait to test this out – and have to admit we were at first a bit dubious about how reliably this would fasten paper together. But, we have to say we were impressed. It says it can handle up to six sheets of paper – not one to follow the rules we tried it out on eight and it handled it with ease. There is only a narrow mouth for putting the paper to be stapled in so you probably wouldn’t manage any more pages than this though. It works by making a slit and then binding a number of pages together – and surprisingly it’s a really secure fastening. You use it in exactly the same way as a stapler with metal staples and it’s easy to work. The only downside is that you’ll need to consider where you staple pages – as it does leave a small hole, and un-stapling pages renders the pages unusable as they tear. INFO
