ow did you get your start in the sport of badminton and at what age did you begin to realise you wanted to become a professional player? I started playing when I was 8 years old, motivated by my parents interest


in badminton. I feel it was the right age to begin playing, as we know the junior age tournaments start when you are 13 years old so it’s was the right time to enter these types of competitions.


You’re currently ranked third in the Badminton World Federation rankings and your highest position has been 2nd. What areas of your game do you feel you have to work on to be able to make it up to the no.1 position? I have to win each and every tournament to become number 1, but sometimes you want to produce good results but injuries prevent you. These distractions can make a huge difference. In terms of injuries at the moment I feel great, but I had recent knee injury that put me under a lot of pressure and resulted in 
