Target Components celebrated its birthday in style (or perhaps that’s the wrong choice of word, judging from these pictures…)
As part of the celebrations, Target employees all had to pick a name out of a hat and bring in something daft for their colleagues to wear. The results can be seen in these photos, including Target MD (and Bolton Wanderers fan) Paul Cubbage in a Manchester United cap, buyer Joe Goiti attempting to wear a bra, plus the accounts and sales teams in similarly silly getups.
ATTACK OF THE SMART TOILETS
IT security firm Trustwave has discovered that a popular Japanese ‘smart toilet’ called the Statis can be remotely operated by a free Android app.
The firm believes that ‘mischievous technophiles’ may be using the app remotely to make another toilet repeatedly flush, or causing the lid to unexpectedly open and close on their unsuspecting victims. Not your usual restroom, then…

Left your phone case at home? What about your keys? No problem – just get someone to fax them over. AIO Robotics’ 3D scanner and printer Zeus lets users duplicate any item that fits on its 12-inch turntable, by transforming it into a digital 3D model. These models can then be “faxed” to a user and come to life via a 3D printer. It’s not quite the Star Trek Holodeck, but anything that brings us a step closer to that is a success in our books.
