GOODBYE BALLSY BALLMER

Saying Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer has limitless enthusiasm during events is an understatement. After announcing he will retire within the next 12 months, PCRsays a fond farewell to Ballmer by looking at his strangest moments.

Highlights include him yelling repeatedly before expressing his love for Microsoft, laughing at Steve Jobs’ announcement of the original iPhone’s price, and of course, running up and down the stage yelling (a repeated habit it seems) “Developers! Developers! Developers!” Even Ballmer’s first ad for Windows 1.0 showcased his bursting zeal and humour, shouting “Can you believe it! Reversi!” as he helped Windows cement its place in tech history. WHEN IN RUM…

Sega invited journalists and gamers along to MADD/Loading bar in London to get hands-on with Creative Assembly’s latest Total WarPC game: Rome II.

Players were encouraged to drink a specially created cocktail for the occasion called When In Rum. One too many of these resulted in one member of the PCRteam getting decimated by the computer AI, before a war elephant and a Roman chariot got caught in a never-ending battle…
