Pat Moore found evidence of the number “43” on the side. Based on the truck style (earlier photos show that this car had passenger trucks), it would have to be DL&W 643 as 743 was still on the DL&W in 1950.
13 DL&W 652, purchased via Marshal Railway Equipment Company, Scranton, Pa. for $2,700. All three were purchased in April of 1953.

Interstate Railroad 20, 21 DL&W 614 and 670, respectively, purchased in 1954. The 20 was re- tired in 1964. The 21 received steel-sides and lasted until 1973. It was last over- hauled in May 1972 when it got the number X21, red paint and a yellow vertical band. Both cabooses were transferred with the Southern Railway purchase of the Interstate. They were kept in local pools and seen on the Southern system.
