DSS&A bought these for $15,000 via Iron & Steel Products of Chicago on authority for expenditure D-59-53 dated March 16, 1953. There are reports that 597 may survive in Burlington, Wisconsin.

Erie-Lackawanna C818, C838, C849 Though all 53 remaining eight-wheel wooden caboos- es at the 1960 merger went to EL, just these three are known to have been painted for EL. They had received a red scheme with the centered diamond.

789, 796, 849 Transferred from EL in 1976. None were ever in service. RRRR Nos. 6 and 8 Acquired with the Raritan River Rail Road. The 6 was sold to the Grafton & Upton, the 8 to a private owner in Germantown, Pennsylvania. The 8 is currently part of a retail/residence in Ivyland, Pennsylvania.
