BPA SET TO TAKE CENTRE STAGE AT PARTY CONFERENCES

The BPA is set to become part of the political backdrop at the party conferences during September and October, when it joins the Transport Hub.

This group is an amalgamation of organisations working together in a bid to infl uence the government on important transport- related issues. This year’s hub includes Sustrans, The Freight

Transport Association and the Association of British Travel Agents.

‘Placing the customer at the heart of parking management’ is this year’s theme and deals with how local authorities can keep the road-user at the centre of their thinking, while improving traffi c management.

Audience members will be able to ask questions following the event, which will take place as part of the fringe activity.

The conference dates are:

■ Liberal Democrats (Glasgow) Tuesday 17 September

■ Labour (Brighton) Monday 23 September

■ Conservative (Manchester) Tuesday 1 October
