t’s eyes down for the countdown to the opening of The Electric Event, the biggest date in the electrical industry’s calendar. It’s the place where exhibitors and contractors come together, ideas take shape, connections are made and


opportunities arise. And, what’s more, it’s taking place in the heart of England. The all-new event is being held on 20-22 June


2013 at the International Conference Centre (ICC) in Birmingham, and combines the ECA’s high-level annual conference with innovative Technology Live workshops and the Suppliers’ Exhibition. There’s also the exclusive ECA Gala Dinner and annual awards presentation, the not-to-be-missed ECA social event of the year – hosted by comedian Marcus Brigstocke.


Thursday 20 June


Kicking off The Electric Event on the Thursday is the inauguration ceremony for the incoming ECA president for 2013-14, followed by a series of keynote presentations from guest speakers. As in previous years, these sessions will be packed full of insight and expertise from key members of the industry, delivering topical and ground-breaking business information for electrical contractors as well as an analysis of the marketplace and opportunities for growth and business. Below is the timetable of events and presentations

The central Midlands location of the ICC Birmingham makes The Electric Event easily accessible from across the UK. The exhibition centre is in the heart of Birmingham city


centre, a short walk from Birmingham New Street railway station, with regular rail services to every major UK destination, and speedy access to Birmingham International Airport. The ICC Birmingham also enjoys excellent links to the UK’s motorway network, with parking available nearby.
