This laboratory course includes valuable hands-on experience in green sand, nobake, shell, investment casting, lost foam, permanent molding, and metallurgical testing. After attending you’ll be able to:


• Understand the processes used in metalcasting and outline advantages and disadvantages.


• Identify rapid prototyping technologies available.


• Know the characteristics of the primary metalcasting alloys, and identify key applications for each.
