Hunter Celebrates 50th Anniversary, Launches New Name Automated matchplate molding

our company nearly 50 years ago, our reputation has been built on the suc- cessful development of new products and technologies for the global foundry industry. It has been our privilege to serve this industry with the latest innovations, as was my father’s vision, ever since,” said Hunter. “As an inventor, his primary focus was pioneering the automation of matchplate molding and mold handling processes to facilitate our industry’s most backbreaking tasks.”


Delaware Dynamics to Expand

Delaware Dynamics, Muncie, Ind., has announced plans to expand. Inside Indiana Business reported the compa- ny will invest $4.9 million in renova- tions, equipment and software for its 155,000-sq.-ft. facility. According to Ryan Haas, CEO,


this move will expand the company’s customer base and R&D capabilities. Delaware Dynamics produces structural thin-wall diecast aluminum molds, tooling and protoyping for the automo- tive and defense industries.

Spartan Earns Award Spartan Light Metal Products,


Sparta, Ill., a supplier of aluminum and magnesium custom die cast- ings, was recognized as an Excellent Quality Performance Award win- ner at Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing North America, Inc.’s (TEMA) Annual Supplier Business Meeting (ABM) on March 19. Of Toyota’s 388 suppliers, only nine


received a Quality Performance Award. In addition, Spartan Light Metal Products was the only U.S.-based sup- plier to receive the award.


Alfe Heat Treating’s Charlotte,


N.C., ferrous heat treating plant has achieved TS16949 Certification, allowing it to be a direct, tier-one sup- plier to the automotive industry.
