RANCHING Wildlife TPWD Looking for Land to Lease
your farm and ranch properties to TPWD, purchasers of annual public hunting (APH) permits are allowed controlled access to these and other lands across the state. The APH permit, available at any hunting license ven- dor, allows access to nearly 900,000 acres for hunting, fi shing, and other outdoor activities. Leases are tailored to the species avail-
able, landowner’s management direction, wildlife habitat available, location and ac- cess available. Payments are competitive, with hunting and access periods controlled to meet the landowner’s and TPWD’s needs. Lease payments for most properties are made toward the end of the year. TPWD is interested in meeting with land-
owners/land managers to discuss the pro- gram and how leasing your land will benefi t you as well as the people of Texas. If you
