Oklahoma Man Pleads Guilty in Horse Theft Cases

WYNONA, OKLA., MAN HAS PLEADED GUILTY ON 2 FELONY COUNTS OF LARCENY of domestic animals after stealing 2 horses he was hired to break and train.


Michael John Delaney II, 28, received a 10-year deferred sentence with


supervised probation and was ordered to pay $2,500 in restitution and another $1,700 in court costs. According to authorities, Delaney obtained possession of both horses


on the pretense of breaking and training them, but failed to return the horses after the owners requested them. Investigations revealed that 1 horse was traded. Texas and Southwestern


Cattle Raisers Association Special Ranger Bart Perrier located that horse and returned it to the owner. The cases were both investigated by Perrier and Osage County Sheriff Offi ce Chief Investigator Charlie Cartwright.
