ortsmouth City Council has unveiled its new data centre


facility, which will serve almost every resident and visitor to the city. Delivered on time and on budget, this impressive new site has been a culmination of over 18 months planning and implementation. Playing an integral part in the design and build of the data centre was the principal contractor, leading Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS)


specialists, Borri Ltd. The company’s professionalism and knowledge of the complex nature of data centre infrastructures have been invaluable to the success and delivery of this new facility. Drawing on its contact base of preferred design and build contractors, Borri carefully selected one of its partners, which was sub-contracted to deliver the onsite elements of the project.


In addition to providing complete project management, Borri also supplied and commissioned two B9000FXS 160kVA/144kW UPS systems, which have been positioned in a 2N configuration to deliver complete redundancy at all times. Portsmouth City Council's head of IT, Mel Burns, said: “We have been impressed and delighted by the delivery of the new data centre.
