Looking the part of a veteran from the Vietnam conflict, Greg Wright’s F-100D (above left) took top honors in the Jet category. Terry Nitsch is no stranger to the turbine class of models, so when he showed up with this F-86 Sabrein the Sabre Dance scheme (above right) it was no surprise he picked up the award for best
paint finish and a second place win in the Jet category. Robert Bush received third place for his nicely detailed A-4E Skyhawk (below left). Horst Peppu’s F9F (below right), looked great in its naval colors, reminiscent to those found on U.S. Navy aircraft of pre-WWII vintage.
Danny Carozza’s 42% Ultimate bipe (above left), was very popular with attendees. It was also very popular with judges and he earned a first place in Aerobatic to prove it. Karl Schneider works on getting his Pitts Model 12 (above
right) ready for display. He earned a second place win. Steve Feehan built this beautiful Extra 260 (below left), and placed third. Mark Rittinger of Michigan produced a flawless finish on his Precious MetalP-51 Mustang(below right).
