elcome to the April issue of Euroslot. This month we've gone in-
depth on the two major European shows to take place in March - Enada Primavera in Rimini, and Fer Interazar in Madrid. Enada has always been a key show in the
European calendar, but a question mark must now surely hang over the wisdom of continuing to run two shows under the Enada imprint each year. Two shows certainly made sense once upon a time, but these days one is surely sufficient. The announcement that the show will move to a three day format is to be welcomed, but time will tell whether this measure is enough. None of this is necessarily organiser Rimini Fiera's fault - the Italian government must shoulder much of the responsibility thanks to its mishandling of the Comma 6a+ implementation and the uncertainty which this has caused. Fer Interazar presented a different specatacle entirely.
Smaller in scope (and possibly ambition) than Enada but none the worse for that, the organisers produced a busy, bustling and vibrant show dedicated to the Spanish market, with many of the big operators taking stand space and other big gaming brands teaming up with local Spanish partners. This is no small achievement in Spain, a country currently feeling the effects of a particularly severe recession, and the organisers deserve congratulations for producing a successful show. Enjoy the issue!
