EUROPEAN SHOW REVIEW

we’re building on this success with more VLT cabinets and games, and also by widening our slots product portfolio for Italy to include Comma 6a. Games such as Treasure Island, Soccer Fever and Monster Cash have been successful VLT games in Italy, and around the world, so we feel it’s important to give Comma 6a players access to these games also.” “Because of the new Comma 6a+ regulations and change to 75% payout, there

will be a strong demand for new Comma 6a games that are proven to be popular with Italian players, like ours. It will probably mean a complete refresh of the market, and an upgrade to the potential of the product.” “That’s why we are investing heavily into Comma 6a now, to establish

ourselves in that market so when it becomes available we will be a natural choice. Just as we are a natural choice for virtual sports and VLTs in Italy.” The challenge for companies like Quixant is that they have to stay ahead of the

show, stating: “We are well known for our hoppers and toppers in Italy. Today more and more operators are seeking our advice and support for their smaller component needs within their gaming machines. We are ideally placed with our Italian distributor Comestero to provide this support. We were here in force here in Italy – including our Managing Director Marcel Oelen – to underline how key the Italian market is for Suzo-Happ. Naturally the new AES FLOW Hopper is the ideal coin payout solution that is aligned to the new security requirements for components in Comma 6a machines”. Inspired Gaming Group has become a major player in Italy in both VLT

terminals and content provision – and ENADA was a big show for the company. Inspired is now able to roll out its virtual sports product, a success in so many markets already, to six Italian operators, including Snai, Lottomatica and Sisal. Martin Lucas, Managing Director for VLT and Betting at Inspired, told Euroslot:

“We have been working closely with the regulator AMMS on the introduction of virtual sports in Italy; the technical standards have now been published and we have started the homologation process with AAMS. We already have around 95% of the market contracted and ready to go, and you can see our product on other stands here at the show – Lottomatica, Sisal, Eurobet, Cogetech – there’s a lot of interest in virtual sports for all types of street and mini-casino/VLT venues and we know the model well both from the UK and internationally. Launching our virtual sports in Italy will further advance our brand recognition as a leading supplier of three key products in Italy - VLTs, Virtual Sports and Comma 6a.” Also on the Inspired stand were new Comma 6a products, Treasure Island,

Monster Cash and Soccer Fever, with both 74% and 75% payout. Lucas added: “It’s a good time for Inspired; as one of only three major VLT suppliers in Italy,

curve in gaming – if they have to react to a market change, they might already be too late, so anticipation is key. Quixant provides PC-based gaming boards and all- in-one gaming platform solutions for manufacturers, and ENADA saw the new QXi4000, the four-screen one-box gaming platform, for the first time. Gary Mullins explained the benefits of the new system: “Two screens are default right now for a gaming machine, but add an electronic button deck to that and a topper, and you have four screens which can now be driven from a single platform, so you don’t need any extra kit. “When a button deck is added to a machine, it’s not just adding the deck, you

have to have something to drive it. Most platforms out there will only drive one or two screens which might be fine for a relatively simple slot machine, but now we’re up to 10 screens which might sound excessive until you think that an eight- player roulette has one screen per player; with our high-end solution, instead of needing a PC in every station you can drive each screen from the graphics card in a single central unit.” Of the show, Mullins highlighted an issue which he noticed at ICE’s new venue

earlier in the year. He concluded: “The hall layout means that it’s taking time for people to make their way through to the halls toward the back. It was a similar situation at ICE this year too.” Magic Dreams had “a really successful presence at ENADA Rimini,” their most

important gaming show in Italy. ENADA is a profitable opportunity and allows Magic Dreams to meet with

several operators of the AWP Italian market, many of them looking for not only new products, but also information about the new rules relevant to the sector, rules that are expected to be active in the forthcoming months. “Our focus is Comma 6a customers, we can confirm that we are satisfied

about the results, because our games are performing well and the market is strongly recognizing our quality level. For us, ENADA means mainly Comma 6a market while, for VLT market, we do work a content provider,” Diana Parasmo told Euroslot. “The market is looking for novelties, for something new, and people
