INTERAZAR SHOW REVIEW Together with AMATIC’s long-established distributor in Spain,
Comatel, AMATIC displayed complete solutions for both the arcade and pubs market – and in both sectors – namely multi-game and electronic roulette. AMATIC’s ‘Multiliner’ was on display at the FER,
fitted in the stylish upright Performer C22. Ergonomic design plays a key role so that players can enjoy Multiliner games for longer periods of time. Furthermore, the slant top wide-screen Performer Grand Arc received its premiere to the Spanish market. Spanish operators can now access the latest technology for the Multi-Liner choice of favourite AMATIC games on the latest and greatest AMATIC cabinets. The success of the slots amongst Spanish
operators is mirrored by the joint success of the electronic roulettes from AMATIC Industries. The wide-screen version Roulette Grand Jeu WS22 is the high-tech, modern solution, available in three versions for five, six or eight players. Naturally the double- wheeled electronic roulette, Roulette Grand Jeu Double, stood out on the Comatel stand. With two wheels to play and ten player positions, four large monitors above the wheels provide game statistics – and it’s all designed and manufactured by AMATIC Industries in Austria. Leopold Öller, Director of AMATIC Industries,
looks back at an extremely pleasing FER, stating, “The dedication that both AMATIC and our key, extremely knowledgeable and successful partner Comatel places on the Spanish market is reflected in the popularity of both our multi-games and electronic roulettes. With well over 700 Roulette Grand Jeu’s in operation, AMATIC is a household name amongst players in Spain. We thank the many visitors who came to see us at the FER.” Video Bingo specialists Zitro managed to surprise visitors with the quality of its
products and a really striking stand. Manuela Jiménez, Vice President of Zitro, described the recent Interazar as being “ground-breaking and advantageous”. The main players during this benchmark event for the gaming sector have
undoubtedly been the new models of video bingo machines and the latest novelties in Zitro’s games catalogue for the Spanish Market: Último Bingo en París, Stiffany’s, and Free Bingo, which will start being installed in games rooms all over the country very soon. Also, games for the Bluewave Platform were presented, including White Glove,
Tony the Lobster, Da Vinc1 Secret and Lucky Monkey; and Zitro’s Video Roller with the titles Liquid Money, Pharaoh’s Secret and Fairy Fantasy. Zitro’s Electronic Bingo, a fully consolidated product within the Spanish market,
could be seen in both 1.0 and 2.0 versions; attendees also showed great interest in the interconnection possibilities which the company says is unique to Zitro. The Blackwave machine was another focus, attracting a great deal of attention
from visitors. This is Zitro’s latest generation platform, which hooks players thanks to its surround sound, spectacular graphics and, of course, its amazing games: Powermania Black Bonus, Zitro Caniball, Jerry en el País del Bingo, Wild Rocks Multibonus, Reina del Bingo, Zitro Spin Bingo and Jerrynstein. R Franco, like many Spanish companies, had a combination of mechanical reels
and video slots on display – on the same machine! The main game is played on a stepper-style reel, with bonus games played on video reels in the top screen. This is an attempt to educate players in the street market to play video reels, which is an arena dominated by mechanical steppers. First and foremost, the machines look fantastic; the addition of the video reels gives the machine far more allure as there is always something happening, even if the machine is not being played. Second, mixing the reel types really does work in terms of gameplay. Most of Spain’s major gaming manufacturers seem to be heading in this direction, and it appears to be working. Of particular note on R Franco’s very large stand was their bingo/slot hybrid,
Tombola Roulette, which had its first installation in the UK in July 2012 in London’s Hippodrome Casino. Benjamin Fernandez, R Franco’s International Sales Director, explained: “Usually a Roulette wheel takes what, 30 seconds? This takes

around seven seconds to play, so that’s up to nine plays a minute. This is a product for casinos but we’re also looking at bookmakers among other markets that this will work for.” In Spain, Crane Payment Solutions products are available with ccTalk interface
