EXPERT LOCAL GUIDES
Cruising Europe’s rivers with Tauck is all about the destination. Not that life aboard the riverboat isn’t a complete vacation experience in itself, but it’s where our riverboats take you – and what you do when you’re there – that embodies the Tauck Difference in river cruising. Tauck’s local experts and guides – friendly folks who are passionate about their homelands, and eager to share them with you – put the focus on knowledge on your shore excursions as they take you to fairy-tale castles, medieval towns and ancient villages where you learn about, and connect with, centuries-old traditions.
Our local experts’ insider expertise infuses your desire to learn... so you’ll take home information and insights that you never would have picked up on your own. They’ll broaden your horizons and enlighten your mind at lectures, stir your soul at music and dance presentations by local performing artists, inspire your palate at cooking demonstrations and more. And they’ll introduce you to exclusive cultural and dining experiences for an authentic taste of local cuisine or wine from regional vineyards – key to Tauck’s all-included shore excursions.
An itinerary alone, or the ship alone, doesn’t necessarily result in an enjoyable experience for travelers. The critical elements were the Tauck Cruise Director, Tauck Directors and the ship staff – they were all absolutely outstanding. Our Tauck Cruise Director was particularly important to our enjoyment – she was knowledgeable, service-oriented, friendly and an all-around delight who brightened everyone’s day. On every conceivable measurement metric, she rated a perfect score!
