OBITUARIES Leslie J. Woehlke, Muncie, Ind.,
retired president of Grede Foundries, died Feb. 5. He was 91. Woehlke joined Grede in 1937 and retired in 1982. He graduated from Purdue Univ. with a mechanical engineering degree and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. A member of AFS, Woehlke was a Director-Class of 1965 and served as chairman of the AFS Wisconsin Chapter. Woehlke served as a trustee of the Gray Iron Research Institute, president of Gray Iron Founders Association, trustee-at- large and president for FEF, and director of the Iron Castings Society. He received the William J. Grede Award in 1981 for his many years of service and leadership to the industry.
Richard Rundquist, Rockford, Ill.,
died Jan. 26. He was 85. Rundquist was retired president of Rockford Foundries Inc. He began his career in the industry at Greenlee Bros. & Co. after serving in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked at Greenlee Bros. for 29 years. In 1978, he purchased Rockford Foundries, where he served as presi- dent/owner until his retirement in 2008. A long-time member of AFS, he was a Director-Class of 1991. He also was involved in the AFS Stateline Chapter, where he served as chairman.
