Technical Sales Representative – Western Great Lakes Area
Saint-Gobain Ceramics – High Performance Refractories/ Metallurgy-Foundry, is part of Saint-Gobain Ceramics & Plastics, Inc., a technical leader in advanced and industrial ceramics. Our constant aim is to develop ceramic products and technologies to better serve the kiln furniture, foundry, primary metals, energy, mining/mineral processing (wear), and military armor markets.
Job Goals:
They will act as the technical resource for product selection, installation method and operational suggestions for customers as required and present proposals designed to improve their operation or secure new business. Use design and analysis software to support sales activities. Identify new opportunities and undertake product development projects designed to satisfy the requirement to ensure continued growth of sales and customer base. Provide direct supervision of installation/ap- plication of products at customer’s facilities to ensure installation according to required instructions. Supervise distributor activities and coordinate sub-contracting of installers or products.
Skills and Requirements:
Skills equivalent Technical/Engineering Degree and 2-4 years of relevant experience are required. Strong technical, application and personal selling skills, along with some technical and working knowledge of the metallurgical industry are also necessary.
