Business Travel Master Classes
Buying & Booking Rail
4pm, Thursday March 21st (Duration: 2 hours) MWB Exchange Venue in Houndsditch, London
Price hikes, complicated fare structures and antiquated booking processes have challenged buyers for a long time when trying to get a handle on rail spend. However, the industry has made great strides on all these fronts, and has also found favour with those corporates striving for a more sustainable business travel programme.
The two-hour Master Class will update buyers on new booking systems, help them decide when rail travel is a better option than air travel, look at how to circumvent price hikes and how to deal with those maverick travellers who want to travel in fi rst class when company travel policy doesn’t allow it.
The Business Travel Magazine and The Business Travel Conference are delighted to
announce the launch of a series of Master Classes in 2013. The fi ve Master Classes will take place in March, May, July,
September and November, with each covering a specifi c sector of the business travel and meetings industry
Attendees will hear from a buyer, train operator and rail booking supplier about how to get a better handle on their corporate rail spend. Our expert speakers for this inaugural Master Class are:
Roger Peters Senior Purchasing Manager, Capgemini Consulting
Roger’s experience includes quantifi able success at selling-in change proposals at board level as well as an in-depth knowledge and hands on experience of self-booking travel management, GDS, expense management and e-procurement tools and technology.
