Executive Hire Review The 7th annual Executive Hire Show
a resounding success! Final statement from Rob Aplin: We are delighted to confirm that the 2013 Executive Hire Show attracted 1,612 relevant
hire industry visitors. This net figure excludes all exhibitor personnel, non-exhibiting suppliers, as well as Press
and PR. Whilst this figure is slightly reduced on the 2012 attendance of 1,752, we can confirm that
the Show attracted both senior executives and purchasing management of all the Top Ten national hirers, with one exception, which for some inexplicable reason, held its own event during our industry’s national Show. Independently-owned hire companies, however, continue to be the lifeblood of the
Show. 90% of hire visitors were from independent operations, the same percentage as last year.
These attendance figures show that passionate hirers throughout the UK and Ireland, not to mention the Channel Islands, continue to place high value on attending
their industry’s established annual event, as an unrivalled opportunity to set their agenda for the year ahead and make positive plans for growth. We can also confirm that 90% of attendees visited the Show’s Top Tier, our extra hall for light equipment, which is now established as an integral part of the Show.
Expand Your Hire Revenues Using GreenMech Wood
Chippers At this year’s celebratory 40 years of the Hire Show, GreenMech’s new Arborist range of chippers have been awarded a place on the Celebrating 40 Innovation Trail for its Noise Reduction System. GreenMech, the Queen’s Award- winning manufacturer of wood chippers and green waste shredders is also celebrating 20 years of British design, engineering and in house manufacturing. The Warwickshire-based manufacturing company
established in 1993, is using Executive Hire Show 2013 to showcase its new Arborist series of 150mm wood chippers that have been specifically designed to meet the tough demands of today’s hire industry. The Arborist range offers the hire industry a number of machines that are competitively priced, easy to maintain and have been well received in the market place, providing an ideal opportunity to develop revenue streams. The Arborist range consists of a family of two road-tows and one tracked unit to satisfy industry demands. The simple maintain and cost-effective models all come
with a wide letterbox-style throat of 150mm x 230mm, vertical hydraulic feed rollers and the ‘No-Stress’ feed system controls the flow of material effectively increasing throughput. The engine is protected by easily removed insulated steel panels offering easy access for maintenance, strength and noise level reduction, vitally important when working in an urban environment. The individual models are: Arborist 130 weighing in at less than 750kg comes with a choice of either a23hp Briggs & Stratton or Honda
GX630 petrol engine, twin hydraulic feed rollers and Disc-Blade technology as standard. Arborist 150 is below 750kg and comes with a choice of 26hp or 34hp Kubota diesel engine, twin hydraulic
feed rollers and Disc-Blade technology as standard. ArbTrak 150 comes with a 34hp Kubota diesel and designed to complement the existing SafeTrak 16-23 and
QuadTrak 160 tracked options. All GreenMech towed chippers and trailers comply with the EC Whole Vehicle Type Approval as required
by all mainland EU countries. As it is recognised that many traditionalists prefer to use straight blades on their machines, GreenMech have developed a flywheel for the Arborist range that will accept reversible straight blades as on option.
