Following a detailed technical and operational evaluation process as part of a European
Union tender, Fairlight EVO was chosen by a France Télévisions expert review panel. EVO’s CC-1 media engine and the customisation opportunities coupled with management tools such as TTWASS (Total Tapeless Automation System Suite) reinforced France Télévisions’ decision, according to the Australian systems manufacturer. KUDELSKI, inventor of the industry’s first professional portable recorder, died on 26 January at the age of 84 in Switzerland. His Nagra recorder transformed sound for film and remains one of the most recognised brands of portable recorders to this day. Stefan was also
founder and honourary chairman of the Kudelski Group, who transferred Nagra Audio to Audio Technology Switzerland – still run by the Kudelski family – in January of last year.
During the course of his
career, Stefan was awarded numerous distinctions including Academy Awards in 1965, 1977, 1978 and 1990, and two Emmy Awards in 1984 and 1986. “Stefan Kudelski was one of those personalities who contributed to the international reputation of Switzerland. Anyone who knew him could only be impressed by his sharpness, his incredible culture, his curiosity and his permanent sense of humour,” said Claude
