ProductPreviews High-Performance Drill

CoroDrill 460–XM is a multi-application, high-performance drill that provides high-capacity utilization, flexibility, and versatility for a wide range of materials. The CoroDrill 460-XM is made from micro-grained carbide for hardness and toughness, resulting in high-wear resistance and long tool life. The coating has a special finishing treatment to reduce coefficient of friction. The web design provides excellent cross-sectional strength that, combined with increased flute volume, enhances chip evacuation. The 140° point is well suited for multi- application drilling with good centering capabilities and low thrust force design. The drill comes in a standard diameter range of 3–20 mm in drill lengths; 2–5×D (DIN 6537 K and DIN 6537 L) with internal and external coolant. Hole tolerance of IT8–IT9 is achievable. Universal Deburring Tools Micro Cofa carbide deburring tools are capable of all-purpose deburring of through holes 2–4.1 mm, front and back, in a single pass without sacrificing quality or tool life. Micro Cofa is a simple tool for deburr- ing through holes on even or uneven parts from the top and bottom without reversing the spindle, dwelling, or index- ing the part. Despite the tool’s

small size, the Micro Cofa offers a simple to use, high-quality deburring tool with carbide inserts coated with TiAIN to meet today’s manufacturing needs. Heule Tool Corp. Ph: 513-860-9900 Web site: www.heuletool.com

Robotic Blast System

RX-800-RB blast system combines robotic component han- dling with automated bead-blasting and 100% optical inspec- tion for rapid processing of fragile automotive electronic parts. The machine tending robot is a six-axis Staubli TX-90XL with a compact CS8C controller. The robotic arm is fitted with a vacuum-style end effector to delicately pick up, flip, re-orient,

and place the flat components before and after blasting in the multiple-gun beadblast machine. During the blast cycle, the blast guns move at controlled and adjustable speed for the programmed stroke distance, then the table indexes to deliver the part to a separate station where automatic air wash blow- off removes blast media and dust before being returned to the load/unload station at the front of the blast machine.
