wound-healing environment and provide wound protection. It

a flexible and effective dressing suitable for a wide number of ap- plications. It will effectively man- age exudate and maintain a moist wound-healing environment. Advazorb Plus can be used


as a primary dressing on exuding wounds, or as a secondary dressing over products such as Citrugel. It can be cut to shape if required and can be held in place through normal bandaging techniques or stay sutures. Advazorb Plus is ideal for providing a moist wound environment whilst protecting the wound.

loodSTOP® iX is a natural, biocompatible, non-irritat- ing, animal-free haemo-


static agent, which resembles tra- ditional gauze. Using a proprietary formulation, cotton cellulose is etherised and oxidised to make a highly absorbent, hydrophilic, wa- ter-soluble, bioresorbable matrix. When applied to a wound, BloodSTOP® iX quickly absorbs blood and exudates, transforms into a gel to seal the wound with a protective transparent layer, actively aids in


blood coagulation, and creates an environment for


wound healing.


The clear gel surface facilitates monitoring of haemostasis so the surgeon can focus on the


patient, knowing


that unwanted bleeding is under control.

Hydrogel for Shallow and Deep Wounds I


Q Healthcare’s EVO Hydrogel is an amorphous partially hydrated hydrogel that can be used for the gentle moisturisation and de- bridement of sloughy and necrotic tissue.


The gel is suitable for shallow and deep wounds. It is a primary con- tact layer and can be used in combi- nation with other dressings for opti- mal wound management, depending on the particular clinical need. It will absorb excess exudate from a wound, while keeping


the wound


bed moist and will prevent drying out of the wound bed and formation of scabbing, which is detrimental to fast healing of complicated wounds. The optimally moist environ- ment will facilitate autolytic debride- ment of the wound bed as well as epitheliasation of the wound. EVO Hydrogel will not adhere to the wound and therefore not dam- age delicate wound tissue. It is easily removed from the wound bed by ir- rigation with a saline or similar wound wash.
