eleos is a true Windows pro- gram designed specifically for veterinary practice. Ac-
cording to the manufacturer, it pro- vides all of the standard features you would expect, plus many inno- vative ideas.
Aided by its Windows interface,
the program is simple to use, whilst being immensely powerful. Program functions are divided into channels, thereby simplifying
the number of
options that each member of the practice has to choose from. The ‘reception’ channel, for example, provides all of the facilities required by reception staff. Entire channels, or individual utilities within each channel, can have restricted access. Two named clients can be
added to each card — allowing either name to be searched for. In addition, the user is prompted if a client is already registered at the address given. Teleos contains detailed species and breed information to facilitate fast and accurate entry of animals. An information tab provides extensive data about each breed, including average heights, weights and inherited conditions. Discreet notes can also be added to both clients and individual animals, together with financial parameters, such as credit limits. Clients
are easily groups and identified
categorised by
into having
different background colours on their cards.
