MILES OF SMILES Our guests on location...

Tauck guests travel the world... We just love the great letters, e-mails and photos we receive every day. For more photos, visit our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/TauckTravel

MUSIC TO OUR EARS Teachers and musicians Liz and Keith Smolinski won a Tauck river cruise in our “Tauck Moments” video contest with their music video, “Magical Moments: Amsterdam to Budapest.” Here’s the link: www.tauck.com/info/videowinners What a magical couple!

LIFE-CHANGING MOMENT IN VENICE Guest Keith Sherman heard a shout and thought someone had fallen out of the adjacent gondola; upon realizing that fellow Tauck traveler John Trice had just proposed to Kathy Tate, he captured the moment in this great photo.

SOLO, BUT NEVER ALONE Posing with guides at Ayers Rock in Australia, Joanie Heumann has taken 30 trips with Tauck. She wrote us that she “travels solo, and never feels alone.” Her favorite? Joanie says it’s a tough call, but Australia & New Zealand recently stole the distinction from long-time favorite, Ireland.

FROM THE HEART CEO Dan Mahar received a letter earlier this year that touched him – and everyone at Tauck – tremendously. It is from Leslie Sheppard Conroy, who shared with us her story of an amazing Tauck Bridges trip to Tanzania that her father and mother took their entire family on – three daughters, three sons-in-laws and seven grandchildren. She writes: “...No place meant more to my parents than Africa, and it was their deepest desire to be able to share their love of Africa with their children and grandchildren... When the trip ended, we found that we had fallen in love with Africa just like Mom and Dad had years ago. My parents, through Tauck, gave their grandchildren the opportunity to see the bigger world at a young age when things really leave an impression... Our family enjoyed every moment of the Tanzanian safari. What we did not realize was that this would be our last trip with Dad. He died at home in January, suddenly and unexpectedly... Mr. Mahar, I am writing this letter to you so that you take a moment to realize that the job you and your staff do every day matters. Our Tanzanian safari created a lifetime of memories for our family, ones that now will be treasured more than ever. I am so grateful that we shared this time together in Africa with my father to make his greatest wish come true. You are a lucky man to help make these memories happen.”

BLOGGING TAUCK Cheryl Razmus took her memories and some of the 2,000 photos from Spain & Portugal she and her husband took, and wrote a wonderful posting entitled “Time to Tauck about my Trip.” Here’s the link to her blog: http://cherylrazmus. blogspot.com/2012/11/time-to-tauck- about-my-trip.html
