Following the success of the Bananas in Pyjamas range since its launch in August, the adventures of B1 and B2 will continue with Bananas in Pyjamas Figurines and Water Squirters. The collectable lines are positioned as entry level purchases. Last year Poppy Cat sprang to life in an animated series, and the launch of Golden Bear’s new toy collection added an extra dimension. For 2013, there will be Poppy Cat Stick-on Felts, as well as a Poppy themed backpack.

In its Wrebbit 3D puzzle line,


Coiledspring will have a new image from The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey and a 960- piece puzzle of Sydney Opera House. Puzzle-boxes are the latest innovation from Schmidt Spiele. These are four unique jigsaws packed individually in drawers, which gives kids a special place to keep their finished puzzles.


Bafflers jigsaws do not have a


traditional straight-edged border. The products were a surprise hit of 2012 and have no overlapping images and unique shapes. The first run of three puzzles in the series (67, 69 and 78 pieces) has sold out, and two new series are being introduced for 2013. Rory’s Story Cubes: Max is a bigger

Spring will see further TV advertised characters joining the Lalaloopsy large doll range (£26.99) further adding to the collectability of the line. A product refresh of the popular Lalaloopsy Sew Magical Mermaid doll (£29.99), which was sewn from a swimmer’s bathing suit, will also be new for spring. The doll has a dress that transforms into a mermaid’s tail and her hair also changes colour when under water.


Lalaloopsy Littles will be further expanded in 2013 to include new themes and characters. There will also be a brand new doll theme added to the Lalaloopsy range, with fresh characters and ranges to collect. MGA’s iconic Bratz line will see


several new fashion-themed lines added to the expanding range in 2013, complete with new packaging.

Tomy’s Dinosaur Train products include InterAction Figures featuring ‘SmartTalk’ technology. Poseable Buddy, Tiny, Tank, Ned and Morris recognise and talk to each other. As well as smaller three- pack collectible dinosaurs, there is a range of collectible train car packs. Tomy will be the first to roll out themed

across pre-school, toy, Sandbox and Monster Treads. Johnny Tractor and Allie Gator will be key to the range, plus the Farming Fun Play-set and Fun on the Farm Play-set. The Big Farm range also welcomes the JCB Loadall. The Britains Farm Toys collection will see the New Holland T6 and T7 tractors, John Deere 6R tractors and a JCB Loadall joining the range in 1:32 scale. A Ford TW range, John Deere 50 Series and the JCB 3C Mark III model will be introduced into the Heritage and Collectables section.

Air Hogs will be introducing an outdoor item to provide family fun alongside Air Hogs favourite Wind Flyers. The Zoobles Princess


range will be joined by a new TV item, Princess and the Frog. Like all fairytales, when the Zoobles Princess kisses the frog, the handsome prince appears. Tech Deck will be


introducing a new concept, Build-a- Ramp. There will also be new retro Neon Ramps with a glow-in-the dark board and refreshes of the basic boards, featuring new graphics, cool new shapes and the on-trend Penny Boards.

Spin Master’s venture into the games market has proved a hit and for spring the new Disney Hedbanz adds Mickey Mouse-eared headbands.


In the build up to the summer release of Monsters University, the prequel to Monsters Inc, master toy licensee Spin Master has created a range which features a 12-inch Peek-a- Boo Boo Doll and Huggable


Boo Plush which both recite clips from the film. There is also a two-inch collectable figurine pack featuring Sulley, Mike and Boo. Spin Master will also be distributing the plush characters ranging from four-inch to 24-inch in size.
