Trio of moves at pro-audio manufacturer


John Fitzgerald, Nuno Souza and Adrian Curtis celebrate new roles

announced the appointment of Giovanni Barbieri as its new sales and marketing director worldwide. In his new role Barbieri will be responsible for global brand strategies and will concentrate on driving sales worldwide with the help of a new marketing team based in Italy. There has been a spate of activity at pro-audio manufacturer Harman Professional in recent weeks. John Fitzgerald (pictured, left) has been promoted to vice president, general manager amplifiers & signal processing strategic business unit; Nuno Sousa (pictured, right) has taken up the position of regional sales manager as part of the EMEA sales teams; and Adrian Curtis has been promoted to senior director, EMEA regional sales operations. Fitzgerald joined Harman as an engineer in program management in 1997 and has since been appointed to increasingly senior positions with customer-facing and operational responsibilities. Prior to accepting his new role, Fitzgerald was vice president of program management, general manager Harman amplifier business unit. His promotion comes as Rob Urry retires after more than 28 years with the company. Sousa, who has more than


25 years of experience in pro audio, has been charged with representing Harman Pro brands in the Southern European territories. He joins from Mediachip, a Porto, Portugal-based systems integration firm, where he held the position of director of sales & marketing. Curtis, meanwhile,


previously served as head of sales for the company’s Soundcraft and Studer brands. The move is designed

to consolidate, streamline and improve Harman’s EMEA sales operations. He joined Soundcraft in 1983, taking over responsibility for Studer sales in 2009 and becoming interim head of EMEA sales for Harman Pro in May 2012. Curtis noted: “With its array of brands, unmatched R&D

Chad Batchelor has joined LOUD Technologies as APAC director of sales, Mackie & Ampeg. Based out of the company’s Singapore office, Batchelor will partner with all APAC Mackie and Ampeg

Digital Projection has appointed Stephane Bourdon as national sales manager for France. Bourdon previously worked with Panasonic for several years, and most recently with Sanyo Europe, liaising closely with system integrators and rental companies.
