EVITA PERONI EXTENDS GLOBAL FOOTPRINT

The women’s fashion accessory brand, with logistics and warehousing in Hong Kong, relies on the cloud-based NetSuite SuiteCommerce platform for inventory management, order management, distribution, local tax compliance, multi-currency and customer relationship management and marketing. In 2010 the retailer decided to extend its focus beyond shopping centre and premium department store retailing, working with NetSuite and its Hong Kong-based partner The Egg, to launch an e-commerce channel. “We knew very little about e-commerce when we started, seeing it mainly as a digital catalogue to support our brick- and-mortar stores,” said Beto Rojas, Evita Peroni business development manager. The online store quickly spread beyond its traditional retail

footprint, attracting users from around 80 countries where no Evita Peroni franchises exist, particularly the US and Canada, which now accounts for around 42% of evitaperoni.com traffic. The SuiteCommerce order management system (OMS) and

its multi-currency payment capabilities and multi-tax support proved key to the retailer’s international success. OMS enables commerce transactions regardless of touchpoint or currency and offers integrated billing capabilities, including payment capture, refunds, invoiced billing, usage-based and recurring billing to support any customer interaction for its business- to-business or business-to-consumer environments. It uses the platform’s rules-based workflow technology to manage the lifecycle of a transaction—order-to-fulfilment-to-payment capture-to-repurchase and reduces fraud using the intelligent review and exception capabilities. Rojas added: “SuiteCommerce gives us an incredible ability

to observe customer browsing and buying patterns, to quickly resolve any choke points that emerge and to guide regular site improvements to improve the shopping experience. Since going live almost two years ago, our webstore has become like a Michelangelo fresco – bigger than we could have imagined and a continual work in progress.” Evita Peroni now plans to add additional customer touchpoints through SuiteCommerce in 2013, including mobile. And it has the option to integrate its point-of-sale (PoS) systems, for real-time financial consolidation of its growing global multichannel business.

anish retailer Evita Peroni recently extended its e-commerce footprint from 32 to 122 countries using multichannel commerce management software.
