76 SECTOR GUIDE ELECTRONIC TOYS LITTLE TIKES
The iTikes range consists of four interactive products: the iTikes Canvas, Keyboard, Map and Microscope. Each one works as a standalone product, but when linked to an iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch with the free iTikes App download, the resulting app-based play unlocks more learning, augmented reality and further gameplay. The Canvas works like a classic doodler with a stylus and shape buttons for ‘stamping’. When used with the iPad app, the stylus produces music, lights and sound effects and allows designs to be drawn in six different artist materials. The Keyboard offers standalone play but when connected to an iPhone, iPad

On its own, the Map Explorer allows a child to explore the world through six distinct maps. When used with an iPhone or iPod Touch, the app- based play unlocks interactive learning experiences with quizzes and games, while the tethered stylus activates fun facts and interacts in 3D when hovering over maps. The Microscope is lens-based and
allows kids to explore, examine and interact with 36 specimens. Add an iOS device plus the free app and play expands to include animated 3D models.

INNOVATION FIRST
The latest Hexbug brand extension sees battling gameplay added to the successful vibrating bug toys. Kids can customise their warriors with
different weapons and armour to outmanoeuvre their opponents in new Battle Arena and Stadium play-sets. The bugs feature damage indicator lights and shock sensors. As the battles rage on,
each robot’s jabs activate an on board shock sensor, and damage indicator lights will blink more rapidly as the Warrior’s health decreases. Ultimately, only one Hexbug Warrior Battling Robot is left standing victorious on the Battle Arena or Stadium. Hexbug Warriors Battling Robots come in four colours
