Legoland Windsor is hosting a Brick-or-Treat Hallowe’en season from October 13 to November 5, featuring a haunted treasure trail, Little Monsters Ball and Lego Monster Fighter Fireworks, where special 3D glasses will reveal thousands of exploding Lego bricks lighting up the sky. Look carefully and you’ll also see Lego Monster Fighter mini figures lurking inside Miniland.
Former Severn-Lamb project engineering manager Greg Squires has joined the board as operations and engineering director. The British leisure transport specialist has also appointed a new sales engineer in the shape of Gary Hardy.
Paradise Island Waterpark, in Chengdu, China, is to offer the country’s first Sky Trail ropes course in a waterpark. The installation from Prime Play, which is set for completion in December, will feature three levels and eight poles, providing an ideal space for 150 guests per hour to challenge themselves with multiple activities.

England’s Blackpool Pleasure Beach invited an urban street artist to decorate part of the park’s Ocean Boulevard façade last month. Rocket01 began working with graffiti in the 1980s on abandoned buildings in his home city of Sheffield, and more recently has attracted the attention of corporate clients including Converse, UGG and Channel 4. His work at the Pleasure Beach, one of several murals completed in Blackpool, is among his largest canvases to date.
Chance Freestyle
Chance Rides is offering a new flat ride called Freestyle. Up to 24 people can enjoy the classic spinning and tilting action, similar to Chance’s Wipeout, but with new outward-facing seats that facilitate easy loading and unloading.

Keen to stimulate trade outside the traditional Hallowe’en season, the operator of a scare attraction in northwest England has been staging a series of special summer events.
Horror Camp LIVE! is the brainchild of AtmosFEAR! Entertainment Group, the company behind Scare Kingdom Scream Park in Lancashire. Described as the UK’s first immersive horror camping entertainment experience, the event took place at Hawkshaw Farm Park – or “Campground Mass Acre” – for three nights in August and is set to return over the last two Saturdays in September (22/29). California’s Great America to add woodie
The Cedar Fair group is splashing out on athe tallest and fastest wooden rollercoaster in Northern California. The ride will open this coming spring at California’s Great America, Santa Clara. High-speed twists, turns, drops and a station fly-by will be the highlights of the Old West-themed Gold Striker, already under construction by Great Coasters International. The mammoth timber construction will feature a first drop of 103ft at a 50º angle. Riders will careen along 3,197ft of track at speeds up to 54 miles per hour. The experience will last more than
