Fiona Cooke, Director at Mad About Design tells us a little about life in her shoes…
No two days are the same, but I love
what I do and it’s all worth it when you see a finished project and if you get positive feedback from clients. We are really handson in ensuring that installations are put together perfectly because there’s nothing better than a happy client. When I do get the chance to wind down
according to plan. This takes up a sizeable amount of my day, but I love getting updates about all the exciting projects that we’re involved in. It’s great to see a project finished and receive feedback from clients that are happy with the design solution that we’ve provided – it's still always a really proud moment in the office when we review a great project we’ve put together! At the moment we’re working on some

amazing projects, so my job is quite full on. We create designs and installations for a number of different sectors, and at the moment we’ve got projects for fragrance brands like Dior, Nude, Givenchy and Coty, and we’re also working on projects for alcoholic beverage brands Johnnie Walker, Smirnoff and Baileys. We’ve got a busy few months coming up as we’re already working on some Christmas projects for various beauty houses. We’ve also got some great new projects on the horizon for Summer 2013 that I wish I could tell you more about, but unfortunately I’m sworn to secrecy. Because I get to work nice and early, I
like to try and make sure I’m out of the office and on my way home by as close to 5pm as possible. However, I do tend to get involved in quite a few late evenings to oversee installations in stores, which usually start at 10pm and finish at 8am!

in the evening, Gin and Tonic is my wind down drink of choice. I’m really thankful that we get to work on such exciting projects, but I do love the chance to have a good sit down and relax once I get home!
