Design Attack becomes the Harbour Town “Aqua Marina” Design Attack is a special cornerstone of GDS.


Here to the tune of 100 young designers display their extraordinary collections off the beaten track. For the 17th edition of Design Attack this hip area will turn into the forgotten harbour town “Aqua Marina”. Rising in the middle is an old beacon surrounded by weather-beaten little streets. A real harbour “dive” and a stranded sailing ship round off the scenery.


And even such topics as Geomarketing feature in the agenda of the “Speakers’ Corner” event. The lecture on “Local Mobile Marketing” explains how retailers can use this tool effectively.


“Made in Italy” as a Stand-Alone Show Shoes “Made in Italy” at GDS in Düsseldorf – and this has been the case for 35 years now! The “Consorzio Maestri Calzaturieri del Brenta” will celebrate its 35th exhibition anniversary at the forthcoming GDS. September 1977 saw the shoe manufacturers from the region between Padua and Venice take part in GDS for the first time. To mark the anniversary occasion the entire shoe-making region will stage a special fashion show and present innovations from the Italian realm of fashion.


GLOBAL SHOES – leading trade fair for sourcing


GLOBAL SHOES is held in parallel with GDS. Under the motto "shoe fashion all along the line" this platform for volume suppliers will present a wide and varied selection of shoe and leather goods ranges for the volume market. For the next event more than 350 exhibitors from all major shoe-producing countries are expected to participate again.
