Samsung’s 20nm-class 4Gb mobile DRAM represents the thinnest, highest-density, and highest-performance mobile memory. Furthermore, based on the 4Gb components, Samsung can deliver 2-Gigabyte (GB) solutions that boast razor-thin thickness of 0.8mm, which stack four 4Gb LPDDR2 chips in a single LPDDR2 package. This new package is approximately 20% thinner than 2GB packages that stack four 30nm-class 4Gb LPDDR2 chips. Also, the new 2GB package can process data at up to 1,066 megabits per second (Mbps), while spending the same amount of power as that of a previous 30nm-class 2GB package. Benefits of the new 20nm-class 4Gb LPDDR2 will help speed up the growth of the 4Gb DRAM market. Samsung expects the newly introduced 20nm-class 4Gb LPDDR2 will rapidly replace 30nm-class 2Gb-based 1GB LPDDR2 that was in limited supply at the 0.8mm thickness.

SouthWest NanoTechnologies (SWeNT) has developed two new grades in its SMW™ line of Specialty Multiwall CNT. These materials are used as additives that enable higher electrical conductivity in polymer compounds and improved cathode performance in Lithium Ion batteries. The new grades, SMW200 and SMW210 have demonstrated the greatest ease of dispersions and lowest percolation threshold of any MWCNT product in multiple customer thermoplastic compound evaluations. This enables ESD (electrostatic discharge) performance at lower filler loadings than either Carbon Black or other Multiwall CNT, in a variety of polymers. Both materials are synthesized by the CoMoCAT(R) method., widely recognized as producing the most consistent CNT products, and for its scalability.  Both materials disperse easily into most polymers and have the same ultra-pure, defect-free, less entangled CNT. SMW200 is a "purified" grade, with CNT purity of 96%+ (even higher purity research grades are available upon special request). SMW210 is an "as produced" grade, with CNT purity of 70%+, with the balance being mainly metal oxides used in the catalyst.
