Nimrod has made numerous achievements of late. It is popular for its growing musical licensing development and orchestral service. But it has also helped smaller self-published developers with its DLC Studio, which has been designed to help developers working to tight deadlines and lesser budgets when producing downloadable content for games and smaller iOS projects.
OMUK
Placing a unique importance on voice work, OMUK has developed a system for getting the best out of voice actors. The studio process is fronted by a director rather than an engineer and the company has ensured that the actor has access to an open mic feed from the other side of the glass, enabling the director and actor to work as closely together as possible.
Richard Jacques Studio
Jacques’ studio has ventured out into the casual sector and registered significant growth as a result of partnerships with companies including GameSys, PopCap and Hasbro. Jacques has also recently completed a three-year project to build a brand new studio facility in London that boasts four studios and three live recording spaces including a 7,000 sq ft hall.
Side
Last year saw Side finish two huge projects, The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings and Star Wars: The Old Republic. The latter featured a cast over over 50 British actors in a total cast of 200, a feat recognised as the biggest voice production project in entertainment history.
The Audio Guys
With over 35 years’ combined experience in game audio development and over 175 titles to their name, The Audio Guys have continued to cement its reputation for quality audio with titles like Forza Motorsport 3 as well as deepening the company’s presence in the iOS market with NFL Rivals and the popular free-to-play title My Horse.
Wave Studios
With an ever-expanding high profile client base, Wave has been working on a Sesame Street-based Kinect title as well as joining forces with Cubic Motion to develop an innovative tech demo that captured facial animation and voice over work in unison.
