Atomhawk Design


A leading specialist in visual design with clients including Warner Bros., Microsoft, Sony and Ubisoft. Atomhawk Design has been behind concept artwork for titles including DUST 514, Driver San Francisco and Doctor Who The Adventures Games. Acclaimed work on Pottermore, an upcoming IP project called The Realm and a foray info film indicate the studio’s impressive work will continue.


Axis Animation


In the last year, this Glasgow based animation studio has continued to raise its profile and reputation thanks to a larger US client list and a strong demand from both new and existing UK clients looking for impressive cut scenes and striking trailers. The studio’s family-friendly brand Flaunt has performed well in the last year with positively received, widely seen trailers for Age of Empires and LEGO Harry Potter.


Cubic Motion


The last 12 months have seen enormous progress in Cubic Motion’s business. It has transformed the cost, speed, volume and quality of the facial animation in many upcoming triple-A titles and have removed poor lip-synching with the introduction of highly emotive and reactionary facial animations, all using Cubic’s Emotive Animation From Audio technology.


Dimensional Imaging


Since arriving on the scene with facial capture technology used by Valve in Left for Dead 2, the stereo photogrammetry technology DI3D has gone from strength to strength and is now widely used in modelling for sports titles, effectively and efficiently creating realistic head models of star sportsmen and women.


Imagination Studios


Since joining forces with EA DICE to showcase performance captured body, face, voice and props on Battlefield 3, Imagination also formed a partnership with Cubic Motion to blend its performance capture capabilities with facial animation to provide high quality service for games, films, television and trailers.


RealtimeUK


With a list of global clients that features Disney Interactive, Codemasters and Sony, this UK CG studio has carved a reputation for quality animation since opening in 1996. Working closely alongside its clients, the last year has seen the company animate Disney icons in Kinect Disneyland Adventures and drum up anticipation for a number of titles through striking announcement trailers.

TrioViz


TrioViz has been pushing boundaries in 3D visuals. In March the company recently released version 3.0 of its software development SDK and the move will see the 2D + Depth process render clear stereoscopic 3D images on 3DTVs, PCs, and even ordinary 2D HDTVs through the use of INFICOLOR 3D glasses.
