Indie Fund has so far helped seven projects get off the ground including Thechineseroom’s multi- Develop award-nominated Dear Esther. In January of this year, the company marked another milestone as the first Indie Fund game arrived on Steam in the shape of cube puzzler Q.U.B.E.

The Sony XDEV program, based within SCE’s Studio Liverpool, has had another notably strong industry showing this year, managing a range of titles from independent development studios including key Vita games and Start The Party.

Recent highlights included more ways to expand its market place, with the release of a mobile app. And Steam continues to stand toe- to-toe with other platforms, having developed a passionate gaming community of its own.

The global digital publisher of mobile games and apps to date represents more than 100 developers and 2,000 titles. The company is also set to bring out a range of pre-paid cards that allow a set of games to be downloaded simply by scanning a code with a phone.
