KEEPING IN TOUCH WITH EVENTS Biennial Health and Safety Conference

In November, CPI held its Biennial Health and Safety Conference which was attended by delegates of all levels from the Paper Industry. Delegates were treated to an incredible day of mixed emotions from a variety of speakers and the event was widely regarded as a resounding success!

For the first time, we invited sponsors for the conference, resulting in support from Pilz Automation Technology and Avanti Conveyors.

Corrugated Sector Parliamentary Reception

Once again this proved to be a great success, with eighteen MPs attending to speak to representatives of the Corrugated Packaging Industry.

Held in the Houses of Parliament in October, the event was sponsored by Dan Rogerson MP, Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Packaging. In his address to the industry audience Mr Rogerson highlighted the importance of the Corrugated Packaging Industry to the local economy.

Richard Coward, Chairman of the CPI Corrugated Sector, commented that it was good news that representatives in Parliament are seeing packaging as part of the solution, not the problem.
