Buckets are the most commonly used attachments for Bobcat®
compact
equipment. Bucket strength lies in the back of the bucket. This area constantly has extreme pushing and lifting force exerted on it. The most critical areas for reinforcement are across the top and the Bob-Tach® attachment mounting system corners.
Bobcat buckets are built strong, in the right places. The differences in quality and strength are remarkable. Bobcat buckets have a top plate that extends almost the entire width of the bucket. Additionally, there is a second plate on the lower half that spreads the load against a wider area.

BUCKET BOTTOMS
Not all buckets are built the same. Bobcat Company knows that a fl at cutting edge is critical to effectively cut a grade, fl atten a work area or scrape material off hard surfaces. If a bucket bottom is not built well, it will fl ex too much and the cutting edge will permanently bow or “smile.” Bobcat manufactures the strongest bucket bottom with a unique waffl e-plate design for added strength in high-stress areas.
Bobcat low-profi le and construction/industrial buckets have a patented, reinforced waffl e- plate bottom of corrugated steel — the same concept that has been used in bridge, culvert and tunnel design for years.

When compared to Bobcat buckets, the others hardly scratch the surface with options. Some other buckets have holes but they are not counter-sunk, so bolt heads scratch surfaces and wear away.
