Bobcat expands its extendable-arm offerings

Three additional Bobcat excavators will soon be available with the extendable- arm option — an exclusive product offering from Bobcat Company — for more dig depth and reach.

A new line of Bobcat® plate compactors is

available for Bobcat M-Series excavators. The PCF34 and PCF64 replace the PC30 and PC60 plate compactors, and are mounted in place of the bucket. Bobcat plate compactors are an effi cient method for compacting trenches.

Changes to the top of the plate compactor include the use of a bolt-on breaker cap instead of a dedicated X-Change mounting system. This change allows owners of Bobcat E80 excavators to use the PCF64 for compacting needs.

The PCF34 is approved for Bobcat E32, E35, E42, E45, E50 and E55 excavators, while the PCF64 is approved for E55, E60 and E80 models.

New Bobcat E42, E45 and E55 excavators may be ordered with the option or your local dealer can install a kit to add it to a previously purchased excavator. All three excavators are compatible with Bobcat clamp attachments and the optional Hydraulic X-Change attachment mounting system.

Bobcat E42 and E45 excavators with the extendable-arm option feature a 24-inch range of motion with maximum dig depths of 12 feet 6 inches and 12 feet 10 inches, respectively. The extendable- arm option includes an additional counterweight on these two models.

The Bobcat E55 excavator with extendable-arm option has a 30-inch range of motion and a maximum dig depth of 14 feet 7 inches, approximately 22 inches more dig depth than an E55 with the standard arm confi guration.

New 3-point tiller implements

There’s a new line of Bobcat 3-point tillers available for use with compact tractors and Toolcat™ 5610 utility work machines. Three new models have working widths of 43, 55 and 67 inches, and an adjustable depth from 1 to 5 inches.

Tiller implements for compact tractors and Toolcat machines are the ideal way to break ground; prepare soil for planting; amend soil with fertilizer, manure or mulch; and remove weeds between tree rows. The tines of the tiller rotate in the opposite direction as the tires when the tractor or Toolcat 5610 is moving forward.

Bobcat 3-point tillers are common in agriculture for cattle and crop production applications, landscaping and construction for excavating, grading and site development. They are just as useful for homeowners with acreage for personal property maintenance.
