NOT ONE for the faint hearted, the critically acclaimed action-RPG Dark Soulsis finally hitting the PC platform in a special Prepare To Die version. This content-enhanced version will include an upgraded – and much requested – player vs player mode, allowing gamers to assemble battles against each other online. There will also be an additional chapter created specifically to expand on the core lore of the game. ‘Artorias of the Abyss’ will include new areas to explore, enemies to fight and more frighteningly difficult bosses. “Our fans demanded to see this game brought to the PC, and the noise they have made was simply too loud and too passionate to ignore,” said FromSoftware creative

director Hidetaka Miyazaki, “This allowed us to offer a special edition of the game that offers more ways to die over and over again. “We’ve managed to expand the experience for our biggest fans without compromising the balance of the core game that we worked so hard to create. This edition is our gift to the fans.”

The console versions of Dark

Soulssold over 120,000 units in the UK with a Metacritic score of 89. Over 100,000 PC gamers signed a petition to bring the BAFTA- nominated Dark Soulsto the PC. Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition will be available via retail and digital platforms. An eventual Xbox 360 and PS3 release is scheduled for the end of the year.
