ART ACADEMY is the perfect artist’s station on the go. It gives creative players the ability to draw, paint and even get lessons to brush up on their skills. Nintendo’s art series returns just in time for the launch of the 3DS XL, a perfect companion for drawing with the much larger screens. There are over 30 brand new lessons on offer, taking advantage of the console’s 3D offerings with new 3D effects and animations. Courses range from introductory to advanced, following step-by-step guides on a variety of drawing and painting techniques, styles and materials. New materials include coloured pencils and pastels. Additional lessons will also be available for purchase via future DLC packs on the eShop. Furthermore, budding artists will be able to share their creations via SpotPass and Nintendo Letter Box. They can also create lessons for other artists to view, as well as a virtual gallery, through SpotPass.
