Sonnya Dennis, DVM, DABVP (canine and feline), is welcomed by AAHA’s board as a new director. Dr. Den- nis earned her DVM degree from Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in 1995. Since 1996 she has owned and practiced full-time at Stratham-Newfields Veterinary Hospital in Newfields, N.H.,


Reilly Glore, CVCP, DVM, also joins the AAHA Board of Directors as a new director. Dr. Glore received his DVM degree in 1972 from Washington State University (WSU) and worked as an asso- ciate veterinarian at Vetter’s Veterinary Clinic, a three-doctor mixed practice in Raymond, Wash., following graduation.

VMA, American Association of Bovine Practitioners, American Association of Small Ruminant Practitioners, Society for Theriogenology and Sierra VMA. He has received several distinguished awards, including Washington Veterinarian of the Year in 1996 and Outstanding Alumnus from WSU in 1992.

Charles “Chuck” Keiser, DVM, is also joining the AAHA Board of Directors as a new director. Co-owner of East Hills Veterinary Clinic in Cincinnati, Ohio, Dr. Keiser received his DVM from Auburn University in 1985. After graduation, he founded Heartland Veterinary Hospital


in Kentucky and quickly helped it grow from a one-doctor shopping-center practice to three AAHA-accredited free-standing hospitals sporting six doc- tors, a hospital administrator, practice managers and a support staff of 50. He has been a member of the AVMA since


1985 and AAHA since 1988. In 2004, he co-founded the North American Business Association—a veterinary management group established to help member hospitals excel in the practice of veterinary medicine and business.


Kamilah Taylor, LVT, will be joining the AAHA Board of Directors as the new vet- erinary technician director. She received her associate’s degree in animal science in 2002 and then moved on to receive her bachelor’s degree in veterinary sci-


ence from Fort Valley State University in 2006. She completed a veterinary techni- cian internship at the University of Geor- gia in 2006 as well. Ms. Taylor currently works as a veterinary technician at The Veterinary Clinic, an AAHA-accredited


practice in Marietta, Ga., and lectures on the topics of anatomy and nursing care. She is the clinical supervisor for the Gwinnett Technical LVT program and assists with the volunteer program at The Veterinary Clinic.
