DISTRIBUTION NEWS Yepp joins the Fisher fold Child seat brand picked up by Fisher  Raleigh layers up with Dare2B  i-ride shines light on Gemini by Mark Sutton

FISHER AND YEPP The St Albans distributor has signed multiple-award winning Yepp child seats, which have scored prizes from Eurobike and Red Dot, as well as a Netherlands Baby Innovation Prize in 2011. The brand has been garnering all this

praise for an eye-catching line of child seats for bicycles. Made from a similar material as Croc shoes, the products are durable, comfortable and easy to clean, as any Croc wearer will be aware. The range includes innovative add-ons, like wind screens and soft guards to protect the head of a child nodding off. Five-point harnesses prevent persistent children from standing up on the seat, while the bracket – which stays on the bike – is easy to separate from the Yepp seat and fit onto another bike that has a bracket. The Yepp range comes in five colours and they are in stock now. 01727 798 340

RALEIGH AND DARE2B Revealed to those who attended the Eastway dealer days, Raleigh has picked up clothing brand Dare2B. According to Raleigh, most garments

have a strong 50 per cent margin and there is no minimum buy in quantity. Point of sale material will be available for certain commitments, however. The Dare2B catalogue offers head to toe coverage at varying price points, from £10 for fast-wicking baselayers, to the upper side of £100 for performance jackets. 0800 096 9060

I-RIDE AND GEMINI LIGHTING I-ride has announced its distribution of Gemini lighting product, with stock available for order now. Based in Hong Kong and with offices in

Vancouver, the lighting gear brand was founded by mountain biker Chris Lai. The product itself is largely based around bright Cree LEDs and rechargeable Lithium Ion batteries, with protection against overheating built in to the machined aluminium body of each model. Tom Marchment of i-ride said: “We have been really impressed with the

performance of Gemini Lights on our night rides. In addition, we are amazed at just how much is included for your money; bar, mount, head mount, helmet mount, spare lenses and extension cables are all in the box. “The Gemini lights range is also strong

from a commercial point of view with outstanding branding, packing and pricing structure.” Promotion of Gemini will also be

strong, i-ride promises, with plans in place for advertising and media coverage to raise the profile of the brand in the UK. There is also an introductory offer from i-ride for dealers, with extremely competitive margins, as well as a competitive staff price. I-ride told BikeBiz of a 1,700 lumen,

triple Cree light in the pipeline, dubbed the Olympia. We’ll have more on that new iteration when we get the pricing and availability info. 01444 243000
